My name is Christy Bouhourdin and my partner and friend is Barbara Alcaraz.  In 2008, I was told I needed a second back surgery. This was not something I wanted to do so I searched for an alternative.  I found yoga, I started taking classes but still felt like I did not know enough.  I found a certified Hatha Yoga teaching program and obtained my RYT 200 teaching certificate in 2009.  I am pleased to share that I did not have the second back surgery.  I am grateful for the positive impact that yoga has in my life.  Now I want to share yoga as an alternative for everyone's mind, body and spirit.  Come join us! 

During my yoga journey, I realized getting props for yoga locally was not easy. That is when Barbara and I decided to find an easier way to get yoga props such as bolsters, neck pillows and eye pillows - by making them!  That was when The Tree of Life Yoga & Accessories was born.  Having these yoga props available for teachers and students  helps them stay healthy as well as expand, grow and cultivate their practice.  Even though our products are geared to teachers and students, yoga props such as bolsters, eye and neck pillows, are of therapeutic benefit to everyone, at any age.
